Acting on a tip-off, the Telangana Narcotics Control bureau (TGANB) and Cyberabad police arrested the party on Sunday and identified 25 drug users.
HYDERABAD INDIA_The Narcotics Control Bureau busted a high-profile party in Madhapur and conducted on-the-spot drug tests on guests, eight of whom tested positive for drugs , including cannabis, narcotics, amphetamine and methamphetamine.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of the Telangana Narcotics Control Bureau (TGANB)and Cyberabad police raided the party on Sunday and identified 25 drug users. Of these, 14 people were tested positive for drugs.
The raid uses state-of-the-art equipment, including advanced forensic equipment, rapid-fire and saliva-based disinfectants, and trained drug-sniffing dogs.
This tool allows for field testing with the variable. TGANB says the use of technology provides immediate benefits and leaves no room for escape.
The team identified 25 potential drug users at the event 14 of them underwent enhanced drug testing and the results showed that eight tested positive for drugs including THC (found in cannabis),opiates, amphetamines and methamphetamine,”Mr Shandilya said.
Internationally renowned German DJBen Böhmer and his team were also found not to have used drugs during the tests and strictly enforce a zero-tolerance policy against underage drinking . Any breach of these standards will result in serious legal consequences.
As the New Year celebrations approach, theTelangana State Narcotics and Crime Bureau(TGANB) has announced that similar stringent checks will be carried out at all events and gatherings in Telangana.
